This presentation will detail specific opportunities for professionals to participate in the regional growth of our industry. During this presentation, Mr. Persichetti will also showcase which companies, organizations, and individuals are collectively contributing towards the overall success of our community's strategic plan. Join us for this event and learn how you and your organizations can be a part of this monumental growth opportunity.  Break (transition speakers)   Part 2: Do-It-Yourself Cyber Engineer’s Toolkit (DIY CET) Overview: Throughout 2019, the ISSA-COS Training Committee will host a series of hands-on sessions called “Do-It-Yourself Cyber Engineer’s Toolkit (DIY CET).” During the various sessions, attendees will receive software and introductory training necessary to build their own cyber toolkit and laboratory. They will also learn how to scan home networks for vulnerabilities, how to build (or update) a home or home office firewall, and many other tasks essential to cyber security. These sessions will be interspersed with other presentations throughout the year. DIY CET Instructor: Jeff Tomkiewicz Topic: Session 2 – Shodan: IOT Search Engine Synopsis: ISSA-COS will work with participants using their VirtualBox, Kali Linux, and Ubuntu machines and download and utilize the Shodan IOT search engine through command line (CLI).  It is highly suggested once again that participants bring a laptop. However, it is also acceptable to simply observe and take notes or even team with others if they are willing to sharing. Suggested laptop specifications include: at least 8 GB of memory, 1 GB of disk, and a CD drive or flash drive port available. The more memory and CPU speed you have, the better. NOTE: Advanced Registration is FREE until 21 Feb. Thereafter, a $10 registration fee will be imposed and will be applicable to late registrants and walk-ins. Register NOW!
