Dear Chapter Members,
We've had a great year so far with successful Chapter meetings,
mini-seminars,
Security+ training, and our annual Open House. We've had some amazing speakers
and interesting topics, and we really appreciate all your support in making
these events a success. If you haven't seen it yet, check out the video from
our Open House here. We also had a great time at RMCS25, and I hope many of
you were able to stop by our booth and say hello!
For this month, I’m excited to share an upcoming event Cyber Focus Week,
taking place from March 25-27. The theme for this year’s event is Ethical
Considerations in AI & Quantum-Driven Cybersecurity, and we have an
impressive lineup of presenters. This event will provide great learning and
networking opportunities, and it's FREE for both members and
non-members.
The week will kick off with tech tours at Space ISAC and AMNET, followed by a
full day of engaging and informative presentations. On the final day, we’ll be
hosting two Capture the Flag exercises, a Cleared Careers hiring event, and
a
Mentoring Matters Mixer.
Here’s a sneak peek at our distinguished speakers:
• Dr. Erik Huffman, Cyberpsychologist
• U.S. Secret Service, presenting on Current Cybersecurity Trends and the
Evolving Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
• Eric Crump, OWASP Colorado Springs Chapter, on Building a Home Lab in the
Cloud with AWS and CloudGoat
• Rock Lambros, CEO of Rock Cyber, discussing AI in Critical Infrastructure:
Ethical and Security Challenges
• Eric Nordberg, ISC2 Pikes Peak Chapter, on Establishing Artificial
Intelligence Ethical Trust
• Danika Hannon, speaking on Generative AI vs. Human Psychology
This will be an awesome event, and I encourage you to register early

In addition to Cyber Focus Week, we are excited to host our Quarterly
Mentoring Matters Mixer on the evening of March 27th, following the CTF event.
Whether you’re looking for a mentor in cybersecurity or are interested in
becoming a mentor yourself, I highly recommend attending this event to build
valuable connections within our community. Here is the link to our

It is truly an honor to serve as President of this Chapter, and I want to
express my deepest gratitude to our Board members and Key Personnel for their
work in organizing and supporting these events. Their dedication makes
everything we do possible for our members.
Thank you all for your continued involvement, and I look forward to seeing you
at these upcoming events!
